The loss of someone close to us can be very difficult. The funeral service gives closure on this life event. It allows friends and family to express their grief as well as giving thanks for the life of the the person who has finished one journey and is starting the next.
The funeral service itself can be quite short with only a handful of mourners or there can be a church full. The service can be taken from the Prayer Book or Common Worship, with the addition of hymns, prayers, readings and an address. Arranging a funeral can be a daunting task at this difficult time.
The Rector can help you through this process with spiritual and practical advice. The Rector can also take a funeral service at the crematorium.
