Did you know that whenever you buy anything online – from your weekly shop to your annual holiday – you could be raising free donations for our Parish with easyfundraising?
The porch repair and installation of a universal ramp is now complete!
We acknowledge the grant we have received from the Amey Community Fund (part of the Landfill Communities Fund) which has contributed towards the cost of this project.
The Amey Community Fund awards grants to support community, environmental and heritage projects run by non-profit organisations based in Cambridgeshire, within 10 miles of a landfill site. The fund is managed by Cambridgeshire Community Foundation and is part of a voluntary environmental tax credit scheme called the Landfill Communities Fund. For more information please visit www.cambscf.org.uk/amey-community-fund.html
St. Mary the Virgin Church, Eynesbury recently restored the church porch and the main entrance pathway was adapted to include a universal access ramp.
We were able to complete this work with the aid of a grant of £3,000 and a loan of £5,000 provided by Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust (CamHCT).
The Trust offers grants and loans to help congregations look after their historic places of worship. Its main source of income is the annual “Ride, Drive and Stride”. Each September sponsored cyclists, motorists and walkers visit churches, chapels and colleges throughout Cambridgeshire, sharing the money raised between the Trust and their local church.
Detail of the Trust’s work can be found at www.camcht.uk
We should also like to thank the following organisations for their financial aid in this project.
Garfield Weston Foundation
St. Neots Town Council
Allchurches Trust Limited
RWE (Little Barfod Power Station)
Thank you all.
Without your help we could not have completed this very necessary work to our beatiful church.
