Church BBQ – We would normally hold a leaver’s service and BBQ during July but as we now have a joint Parish Service on the first Sunday of each month we thought we would try to do it on August 5 if we have enough support. Please let Tony Hopwood have your thoughts.
August Services – As has become the tradition we will only be holding one service during August. This will be the normal 10:00 Parish Service on August 5 and the 09:30 Eucharist for the rest of the month.
August Services (part 2) – We normally chose our favourite hymns for the August Services and as that month is fast approaching there is a list on the table for you to fill in and we will see what we can accommodate.
Wednesday August 8 - 7:00pm – Healing Service
Foodbank – Margaret Tabone took well over 90 tins of tomatoes to the Foodbank last week, so well done and thank you to everyone who contributed. There are copies of the new Foodbank newsletter on the table. It has some interesting information on how much usage of the Foodbank has increased in the last year so continuing donations are still much needed.
Deanery Safeguarding Training – The Deanery are laying on two courses on September 11 and 25 covering C1 and C2 respectively. These are extremely beneficial to anyone that may find themselves in a safeguarding situation so
please let us know if you would like to attend as places are already being taken up.
Higher Tour – Following the prayer gathering St Mary's Eaton Socon. Tara will be taking part in training for the Higher Tour. She will update us further and let us know how we can get involved. For further information please speak to Tara.

Deb Depledge is researching all the names on the two war memorials. Do you know any of the names listed, is one of them your relative?
If so she would like to hear from you.
She is creating a memorial book in honour of the men and women named on the two memorials, which will be on view in the church.
